**What does the Orbitmiles fare include?**

Every Orbitmiles one-way fare includes 150 km, the driver, fuel or charging, the Expressway toll, one pickup and one drop, a short refreshment break and the first 30 minutes of waiting. **Does Orbitmiles charge surge pricing at night or on holidays?**

No, Orbitmiles never applies surge pricing, so a 3 AM ride, a long weekend and peak season all cost the same fixed fare. The fare you are quoted at booking is the fare for the trip as booked.

**What is the per-km rate for a Pune to Mumbai cab?**

Orbitmiles does not meter the Pune to Mumbai trip by the kilometre; the fare is fixed for the first 150 km. Only distance beyond 150 km is charged extra, and we tell you at booking if your addresses are likely to go past it.

[Fare calculator →](https://orbitmiles.in/fare-calculator/)

**Is it a one-way fare, or do I pay for the car to come back?**

Orbitmiles fares are one-way fares, and you pay nothing for the car’s drive back. If you want the car to wait and bring you back the same day, the round trip works out cheaper than two one-way bookings.

[Round trip or one-way? →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/round-trip-vs-one-way-pune-mumbai/)

**How much is a same-day Pune to Mumbai round trip?**

An Orbitmiles same-day round trip costs ₹5,000 in the Citroën ë-C3, ₹5,800 in the MG ZS EV, ₹6,500 in the Kia Clavis EV and ₹9,000 in the Innova Hycross. That covers 350 km across both legs, the toll and 4 hours of free waiting, and it is less than two one-way fares on every car.

**How far ahead should I book?**

**Where in Pune does Orbitmiles pick up from?**

Orbitmiles picks up from any address in Pune at the same fixed fare, including Pune Railway Station and Pune Airport. Hinjawadi, Wakad, Baner, Aundh, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Hadapsar and Pimpri-Chinchwad are all regular pickups.

[All routes and pickup areas →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/)

**Do I get a GST invoice?**

Yes, Orbitmiles issues a GST invoice in its own name for every ride; ask at booking and it reaches your email after the trip. Companies can ask for monthly consolidated invoicing.

[Corporate travel →](https://orbitmiles.in/corporate/)

**Who runs Orbitmiles, and is it reliable?**

Orbitmiles is a Pune-based intercity cab operator and the EV cab subsidiary of Shreeram Travels. Mayuri Karwa founded Shreeram Travels in November 2023 and Orbitmiles in March 2025, and it has completed over 3,000 trips. Fares are fixed, you pay after the ride, and every trip is invoiced with GST.

#### Airports (CSMIA T2 and Navi Mumbai NMIA)

**How much is a Pune to Mumbai Airport cab?**

Orbitmiles charges the same fare to Mumbai Airport (CSMIA) as to Mumbai city: ₹2,700 in the Citroën ë-C3, ₹3,200 in the MG ZS EV, ₹3,800 in the Kia Clavis EV and ₹6,000 in the Toyota Innova Hycross, with 150 km and the toll included. Airport parking, where it applies, is charged at actuals.

[Pune to Mumbai Airport →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/pune-to-mumbai-airport/) [Mumbai Airport to Pune →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/mumbai-airport-to-pune/)

**Which terminal at Mumbai Airport does Orbitmiles serve?**

Orbitmiles serves Terminal 2 at Mumbai Airport (CSMIA), which handles international flights and several domestic airlines. Share your airline and flight number at booking and we confirm the pickup or drop point.

[Airport transfers →](https://orbitmiles.in/airport-transfer/)

**Where does the Orbitmiles driver meet me at the airport?**

The Orbitmiles driver waits at the airport’s designated pickup area, and his name, phone number and car number reach you on WhatsApp before pickup so you can call him once you are outside. He does not come inside the terminal, and there is no meet-and-greet service. A name board at arrivals can be arranged only if you ask for it at booking.

[Mumbai Airport pickup details →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/mumbai-airport-to-pune/)

**What happens if my flight is delayed?**

Orbitmiles tracks your flight and moves the pickup to match your flight, so a delay does not cancel your booking. You get 30 minutes of free waiting, counted from your scheduled pickup time. On airport pickups that time moves with your flight if it is delayed.

[Airport transfers →](https://orbitmiles.in/airport-transfer/)

**How much is a Pune to Navi Mumbai Airport (NMIA) cab?**

Orbitmiles charges ₹2,500 in the Citroën ë-C3 from Pune to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), ₹3,000 in the MG ZS EV, ₹3,400 in the Kia Clavis EV and ₹6,000 in the Innova Hycross. Each fare includes 120 km and the Expressway toll, in either direction.

[Pune to NMIA →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/pune-to-navi-mumbai-airport/) [NMIA to Pune →](https://orbitmiles.in/routes/navi-mumbai-airport-to-pune/)

**Is Navi Mumbai Airport closer to Pune than Mumbai Airport?**

Yes, Orbitmiles drives about 130 km from Pune to Navi Mumbai Airport and plans 2 to 2.5 hours for it, against about 150 km to Mumbai Airport (CSMIA). That shorter run is why the NMIA fare is lower.

[NMIA guide for Pune travellers →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/navi-mumbai-international-airport-to-pune/)

**How do I know if I am flying from Mumbai Airport or Navi Mumbai Airport?**

Orbitmiles serves both airports, and the code on your ticket tells you which one: BOM is Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and NMI is Navi Mumbai International Airport at Ulwe. They are different pickups on different fares, so tell us which one when you book.

**Does Orbitmiles pick up from Pune Airport?**

Yes, Orbitmiles treats Pune Airport at Lohegaon as a normal Pune pickup: from ₹2,700 to Mumbai or Mumbai Airport, and on the Navi Mumbai rate card to NMIA. Share your flight number when you book.

**Can I book a 2 AM or 4 AM airport pickup?**

Yes, Orbitmiles runs 24/7 and an early-morning airport run costs the same fixed fare as a daytime one, with no night surcharge. For a 5 AM flight from Navi Mumbai Airport we suggest leaving Pune around 2:00 to 2:30 AM.

[Airport pickup time calculator →](https://orbitmiles.in/airport-pickup-time-calculator/)

#### The route & toll

**How much is the Mumbai–Pune Expressway toll, and is it in the fare?**

The Expressway toll is ₹320 one way for a car across the Urse and Khalapur plazas, and Orbitmiles includes it in every fare. The three electric cars are exempt and pay ₹0; the hybrid Innova Hycross pays it, and that cost is already inside its fare.

[Toll calculator →](https://orbitmiles.in/toll-calculator/)

**Why are electric cars exempt from the Expressway toll?**

Electric cars are exempt from the Mumbai–Pune Expressway toll under Maharashtra’s EV policy, which is why Orbitmiles’ three EVs cross both plazas at ₹0. You never pay toll on top of an Orbitmiles fare in any car.

[Maharashtra EV toll exemption →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/maharashtra-ev-toll-exemption/)

**How far is Pune from Mumbai, and how long does the drive take?**

Pune to Mumbai is 145–165 km by road via the Expressway, and Orbitmiles plans 2.5 to 3 hours of driving. A weekday evening arrival into south Mumbai or Bandra can add 30 to 45 minutes.

[Pune to Mumbai distance, route and toll →](https://orbitmiles.in/pune-mumbai-cab-guide/)

**Has the Missing Link made the drive shorter?**

Orbitmiles uses the 13.3 km Missing Link, which opened on 1 May 2026 and bypasses the Khandala ghat between Khopoli and Lonavala with no extra toll; news reports put the saving at roughly 20 to 30 minutes. We still plan 2.5 to 3 hours, because most delay comes from city traffic at the Mumbai end.

[Missing Link guide →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/mumbai-pune-missing-link-opening-2026/)

**Can the cab stop on the way, for example at Lonavala?**

Every Orbitmiles fare includes one refreshment break of about 15 minutes, usually at the Khalapur Food Court or the Lonavala exit. A longer stop or a drop-off in Lonavala counts as an extra stop and is charged extra, so mention it at booking and we include it in your quote.

[Expressway rest stops →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/mumbai-pune-expressway-rest-stops/)

**Is a cab better than the train or bus from Pune to Mumbai?**

For one person travelling light the train or bus is cheaper, but for two or more people, or anyone with luggage, an Orbitmiles cab closes the gap: ₹2,700 split four ways is ₹675 each, door to door. Our comparison page sets cab, train, bus and own car side by side.

[Cab vs train vs bus vs own car →](https://orbitmiles.in/pune-to-mumbai-cab-comparison/)

#### Fleet, seats & luggage

**Which cars does Orbitmiles run?**

Orbitmiles runs four cars: the electric Citroën ë-C3 and MG ZS EV (4 passengers each), the electric Kia Clavis EV (6 seats) and the Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid (6 seats). There is no other model in the fleet.

[Our fleet →](https://orbitmiles.in/fleet/)

**Is the ₹2,700 Orbitmiles cab a sedan?**

No. Orbitmiles’ ₹2,700 car is the Citroën ë-C3, an electric hatchback. It seats four passengers and carries 2 large check-in bags plus 2 cabin bags, about what most sedans on this route take, and you sit higher than in a typical compact sedan. The ₹2,700 fare already includes the Expressway toll, which is ₹0 for our electric cars, while many sedan fares on this route add the ₹320 toll on top. If you want a bigger car, the MG ZS EV electric SUV is ₹3,200 one way and carries the same 2 check-in plus 2 cabin bags in a roomier cabin.

[Compare the four cars →](https://orbitmiles.in/fleet/)

**How much luggage fits in the Citroën ë-C3 or MG ZS EV?**

Orbitmiles’ Citroën ë-C3 and MG ZS EV each carry 2 large check-in bags plus 2 cabin bags. For 4 large check-in bags, book the Kia Clavis EV.

[Luggage space guide →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/luggage-space-pune-mumbai-cab/)

**Which Orbitmiles electric car carries the most luggage?**

The Kia Clavis EV carries the most luggage of our electric cars: with 4 passengers and the third row folded it takes 4 large check-in bags plus 4 cabin bags. With all 6 seats in use it carries 4 cabin bags only.

[Seats and bags by car →](https://orbitmiles.in/fleet/)

**Can a family of 5 with 4 big suitcases travel in one car?**

No, no single Orbitmiles car fits five people and four large check-in bags, so that group needs two cars. A Kia Clavis EV (4 people, third row folded, 4 check-in bags) plus a Citroën ë-C3 for the fifth person comes to ₹6,500 from Pune to Mumbai. Tell us your headcount and bag count at booking and we confirm what fits.

[Family travel guide →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/family-travel-mumbai-pune-cab/)

**Can six people travel in one Orbitmiles car?**

Yes, six people fit in Orbitmiles’ Kia Clavis EV (₹3,800) or Toyota Innova Hycross (₹6,000), but not with six people’s check-in bags. With all six seats in use, the Clavis takes 4 cabin bags and the Hycross 2 check-in plus 2 cabin bags.

[Innova Hycross →](https://orbitmiles.in/fleet/innova-hycross/)

**Can I take my pet in the cab from Pune to Mumbai?**

Yes, on request. Tell us at booking that a pet is coming, and its size, so we send a car with room for the carrier. Keep the pet in a carrier or on a leash for the drive. A cleaning charge is added for trips with a pet.

[Travelling with pets →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/family-travel-mumbai-pune-cab/)

#### Electric cars

**Are all Orbitmiles cabs electric?**

Three of Orbitmiles’ four cars are fully electric: the Citroën ë-C3, MG ZS EV and Kia Clavis EV. The fourth, the Toyota Innova Hycross, is a petrol-electric hybrid.

[Why electric →](https://orbitmiles.in/why-electric/)

**Will the electric cab stop to charge on the way to Mumbai?**

No, Orbitmiles cars leave fully charged and the 145–165 km Pune to Mumbai run is well inside their range, so there is no charging stop. The only halt is the short break you choose to take.

[Electric cab Pune to Mumbai →](https://orbitmiles.in/electric-cab-price-pune-mumbai/)

**Does an electric cab cost more?**

No, Orbitmiles’ lowest Pune to Mumbai fare is ₹2,700 in the electric Citroën ë-C3. The electric cars are also exempt from the ₹320 Expressway toll, though you never pay toll on top in any Orbitmiles car.

[Electric cab prices →](https://orbitmiles.in/electric-cab-price-pune-mumbai/)

**Can I ask for an electric car specifically?**

Yes, tell Orbitmiles at booking that you want an electric car and you will get the Citroën ë-C3, MG ZS EV or Kia Clavis EV. Our electric cars have no gas cylinder in the boot, so the whole boot is free for your bags.

#### Safety & drivers

**Will I get the driver’s details before pickup?**

Yes, Orbitmiles sends the driver’s name, phone number and car number on WhatsApp before pickup. You can call him directly at the pickup point and share the details with family before you set off.

**Is it safe to travel alone at night with Orbitmiles?**

Yes, Orbitmiles runs around the clock at the same fixed fare, and late-night solo trips are common for us. Every driver is background-checked, and you have the driver’s and car’s details on WhatsApp before you leave.

[Late-night travel guide →](https://orbitmiles.in/blogs/safe-late-night-travel-pune-mumbai/)

**How are Orbitmiles drivers checked and trained?**

Every Orbitmiles driver is background-checked and trained in defensive driving, and every car goes through regular safety audits. On longer runs the driver takes a 10 to 15 minute break.

**Can I get a child seat?**

Orbitmiles fits infant seats (0–13 kg) and toddler seats (9–18 kg) on request, so give the child’s age and weight when you book. A day’s notice makes this far easier than a same-day request.

#### Cancellation & waiting

**What is the Orbitmiles cancellation policy?**

Orbitmiles cancellation is free up to 4 hours before pickup. Inside 4 hours a part charge may apply because the car and driver are already committed, and since you pay after the ride there is no deposit to recover.

**How do I cancel or reschedule?**

You cancel or reschedule an Orbitmiles booking with a WhatsApp message to +91 84848 76369 or a call to +91 90676 76369. Let us know as early as you can.

**My flight was cancelled. Will I be charged?**

Orbitmiles moves the booking rather than charging it when a flight is cancelled or a connection is missed. Message us as soon as you know.

**How long will the driver wait at my pickup?**

Orbitmiles includes 30 minutes of free waiting from the booked pickup time, and after that a small waiting charge applies. If you are running late, message us on WhatsApp before the time passes and we will usually move the booking.

**How much waiting is included on a round trip?**

An Orbitmiles same-day round trip includes 4 hours of free waiting at the destination, along with 350 km across both legs. For an overnight stay, two one-way bookings usually suit better.
