How the Fare Works
How is the Pune to Mumbai cab fare calculated?
Orbitmiles uses a fixed-fare model, so the fare is not calculated by a meter or surge algorithm. You pay a flat rate based only on the vehicle you choose — ₹2,700 for the Citroën EC3, up to ₹7,200 for the Innova Hycross. The fare covers 150 km, the driver, fuel, and the Expressway toll. Only travel beyond 150 km is extra, at ₹16 per km.
Is the calculated fare the final price I pay?
Yes. The fare shown is fixed at booking and does not change due to time of day, traffic, weather, or demand. The only thing that can add to it is distance beyond the included 150 km (₹16/km) or airport parking, both of which are shown transparently.
How much do I save compared to Ola or Uber?
App cabs on the Pune–Mumbai route typically range from ₹3,000 to ₹4,500+ once surge, peak-hour, and late-night multipliers apply — and airport runs at odd hours are usually the most expensive. Orbitmiles stays at a flat ₹2,700 (EC3) regardless of time, so savings are largest exactly when app cabs surge hardest.
Why is Orbitmiles cheaper than other electric cab services?
Other EV cab services on this corridor commonly charge ₹3,500–₹3,700+ for the same Pune–Mumbai trip. Orbitmiles' base electric fare is ₹2,700, toll included — the lowest fixed EV fare on the route.
