Questions About Pune–Mumbai Tolls
How much is the toll from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway?
For a standard car, the Mumbai–Pune Expressway toll is ₹320 one-way, collected at two MSRDC plazas — Urse (₹240) and Khalapur (₹80). If you travel onward to Navi Mumbai or the airport via the Atal Setu (MTHL) sea bridge, that adds about ₹250. Rates are MSRDC/NHAI figures as of May 2026 and can change.
Do electric cabs pay toll on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway?
No. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) registered in Maharashtra are exempt from MSRDC tolls on the Expressway, so Orbitmiles' EV cabs — Citroën EC3, MG ZS EV, and Kia Clavis EV — pay ₹0 at both the Urse and Khalapur plazas. This is a real saving of ₹320 per trip versus a petrol or diesel cab.
Does the Innova Hycross get the EV toll exemption?
No. The Innova Hycross is a strong hybrid — it pairs a petrol engine with an electric motor but is not a pure battery EV, so it does not qualify for Maharashtra's EV toll exemption. It pays the standard ₹320 Expressway toll (plus Atal Setu if that route is used).
Is the toll added on top of my Orbitmiles fare?
Never. Every Orbitmiles fare is all-inclusive — driver, fuel, and Expressway toll are already covered in the fixed price. Whether the car is exempt (EV) or pays toll (Hycross), the toll is ₹0 to you. There are no toll surcharges added at drop-off.
What is the Atal Setu and when does it add to the toll?
The Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) is the sea bridge connecting Mumbai with Navi Mumbai. If your trip uses it — typically for Navi Mumbai or certain airport drops — it adds roughly ₹250 one-way for a car. For a standard Pune–Mumbai city trip it is not used, so it does not apply.
