Every Orbitmiles fare above covers up to 150 km. Kilometres beyond 150 km are charged extra, and we tell you at booking. There is no night surcharge, no peak-hour surcharge, and no hidden fees — ₹2,700 is all-in with the expressway toll included, where a ₹2,450 quote from an app-based cab plus the ₹320 toll costs more.

The same Orbitmiles fares apply in both directions — Pune to Mumbai and Mumbai to Pune — and for airport transfers to CSMIA. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is on its own lower rate card: ₹2,500 in the Citroën ë-C3, ₹3,000 in the MG ZS EV, ₹3,400 in the Kia Clavis EV and ₹6,000 in the Innova Hycross, with 120 km included rather than 150.

Pune to Mumbai travel time by car, from each area

An Orbitmiles cab covers Pune to Mumbai in 2.5 to 3 hours over 145–165 km depending on your pickup and drop area, via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway (NH48), at a fixed ₹2,700 in the Citroën ë-C3 that does not move with the clock.

The variation in distance reflects different Pune pickup zones — Hinjawadi and Pimpri-Chinchwad are closer to the Expressway entry point, while Hadapsar and Viman Nagar are slightly further east. Drop points in central Mumbai (Andheri, Bandra) also add a few kilometres compared to western suburbs.

From Pune, the route joins the Mumbai-Pune Expressway at Kiwale/Dehu Road, crosses the Western Ghats between Lonavala and Khalapur, and leaves it at Kalamboli near Panvel. From there the Sion-Panvel highway runs into Navi Mumbai and Mumbai, and the Shil Phata road heads to Thane. What's included in the fare?

Orbitmiles' fixed ₹2,700 Pune–Mumbai fare in the Citroën ë-C3 includes the driver, fuel, 150 km and the ₹320 Mumbai-Pune Expressway toll — there is nothing to add at checkout or on arrival, and nothing to pay in advance.

Not included in the fixed fare: kilometres beyond 150 km, waiting after the first 30 minutes and extra stops, which are charged extra, plus airport parking at actuals. Orbitmiles also gives 30 minutes of free waiting, free cancellation more than 4 hours before pickup, child and infant seats (0–13 kg and 9–18 kg) on request, and a GST invoice by email.

Airport transfers — CSMIA and NMIA

Orbitmiles charges a fixed ₹2,700 in the Citroën ë-C3 to Mumbai Airport (CSMIA), with 150 km and the ₹320 toll included; Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is ₹2,500 in the same car, on a 120 km allowance.

For airport pickups, Orbitmiles tracks your flight using the flight number you provide at booking. If your flight is delayed, the pickup moves with it and the fixed fare does not change. You get 30 minutes of free waiting, counted from your scheduled pickup time, and that time moves with your flight if it is delayed.

For airport drops, the driver confirms your terminal and airline in advance and routes to the correct departure entrance.

Which areas do you cover?

Orbitmiles picks up from any address in Pune and drops at any address in Mumbai — the fixed ₹2,700 fare applies across all zones.

Not listed? Any Pune address is covered at the base fare. For locations beyond 150 km from standard expressway routes, the extra kilometres are charged extra.

Why electric?

Orbitmiles runs the Citroën ë-C3 (₹2,700), MG ZS EV (₹3,200) and Kia Clavis EV (₹3,800) as zero-tailpipe electric cars on the 145–165 km Pune-Mumbai corridor — all three exempt from the ₹320 expressway toll — alongside the hybrid Innova Hycross (₹6,000), which pays that toll; either way it is inside the fare.

The Pune-Mumbai Expressway is well within the operating range of all Orbitmiles EVs. Every car is fully charged before departure. There are no en-route charging stops, no range anxiety, and no combustion noise — you travel quietly through the Western Ghats.

Beyond comfort, switching from a petrol cab to an EV on this corridor eliminates roughly 25–30 kg of CO₂ per one-way trip. For frequent Pune-Mumbai commuters, the cumulative impact over a year is significant.

Fixed pricing is only possible because EV operating costs are predictable and lower than combustion vehicles — passing those savings directly to passengers through a transparent, no-surge fare structure.
