The Navi Mumbai Airport to Pune route begins at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) Terminal 1, at Ulwe, Navi Mumbai. The car leaves along Amra Marg, joins the JNPA road at Gavhan Fata, and meets the Mumbai–Pune Expressway at the Panvel Kone interchange. The journey covers approximately 125–135 km and takes 2 to 2.5 hours depending on expressway conditions and your Pune drop location. Since 1 May 2026 the expressway's 13.3 km Missing Link lets cars bypass the Khandala ghat, at no extra toll.

Yes. NMIA is about 130 km from central Pune (2 to 2.5 hours), against about 150 km (3 to 3.5 hours) from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj airport, and you skip the crawl out of Mumbai. Not directly. The airport's official transport page lists NMMT buses from the airport to Panvel and other Navi Mumbai stations, and Panvel Junction has long-distance trains towards Pune. That suits light luggage and a flexible schedule; with check-in bags or a late landing, a cab from the terminal to your Pune door avoids the change at Panvel.
Yes, a little. The expressway's 13.3 km Missing Link between Khopoli and Lonavala opened on 1 May 2026 and lets cars bypass the Khandala ghat, with no extra toll; news reports put the saving at roughly 20–30 minutes. We still quote 2 to 2.5 hours, because traffic near Panvel is the variable.
He does not come inside the terminal. Your driver waits at NMIA's designated pickup area outside Terminal 1. His name, phone number and car number are sent to you on WhatsApp before pickup, so you walk out to the pickup area, call him, and he brings the car round. If you would rather be met with a name board at arrivals, ask for it when you book and Orbitmiles will arrange it.

Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether your flight lands at 1 AM, 3 AM, or 5 AM, your driver will be at Navi Mumbai Airport arrivals on time. There are no extra charges for late-night or early morning arrivals.
Book the Kia Clavis EV or the Innova Hycross. With four passengers and the third row folded, each takes 4 large check-in bags plus 4 cabin bags. The Citroën ë-C3 and MG ZS EV take 2 check-in plus 2 cabin bags, enough for two people on full allowance. Seats and bags share the same space in the six-seaters: with all six seats in use the Clavis takes 4 cabin bags only and the Hycross 2 check-in plus 2 cabin bags. Work backwards from the flight. Allow 2 to 2.5 hours for the drive from Pune to NMIA (Mumbai airport, CSMIA, takes 3 to 3.5 hours), add the airline check-in time (2 hours before a domestic flight, 3 hours before an international one) and keep a buffer for traffic near Panvel. The drive from NMIA (Ulwe) to Pune via the expressway takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Traffic near Panvel and expressway conditions can affect travel time. We recommend accounting for this buffer when planning onward connections in Pune.

The catch is route choice, not the road: NMIA currently handles about 48 arrivals a day across 41 destinations, nearly all domestic (international flights only began on 15 July 2026, with short-haul Gulf routes), while Mumbai airport carries the international long-haul.
