The part people underestimate is the first 30 to 60 minutes: getting out of Mumbai. A Thane or Navi Mumbai pickup joins the expressway at Kalamboli almost immediately. From Bandra, Lower Parel or Colaba on a weekday evening, the city itself is most of your delay, and the expressway is the easy half.
