How much does an electric cab from Pune to Mumbai cost?
The electric cab price depends on the vehicle you choose — every fare is fixed and includes driver, fuel, and Expressway toll for up to 150 km.
| Vehicle | Type | Seats | Luggage (bags) | Fixed Fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citroën EC3 | Electric hatchback | 4 | 4 people: 2 check-in + 2 cabin | ₹2,700 |
| MG ZS EV | Electric SUV | 4 | 4 people: 2 check-in + 2 cabin | ₹3,200 |
| Kia Clavis EV | Electric MPV | 6 | 6 people: 0 check-in + 4 cabin; 4 people: 4 check-in + 4 cabin | ₹3,800 |
| Toyota Innova Hycross | Hybrid MPV | 6 | 6 people: 2 check-in + 2 cabin; 4 people: 4 check-in + 4 cabin | ₹6,000 |
All fares are the same in both directions, Pune to Mumbai and Mumbai to Pune. The same electric cab price applies for airport transfers to CSMIA; Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has its own lower rate card, from ₹2,500. Coming the other way? The six-seaters trade seats for bags. Kia Clavis EV: 6 people: 0 check-in + 4 cabin; 4 people: 4 check-in + 4 cabin. Innova Hycross: 6 people: 2 check-in + 2 cabin; 4 people: 4 check-in + 4 cabin. If you need six seats and big suitcases, the Innova Hycross or two cars is the better call.

Electric cab price vs a diesel, CNG or petrol taxi
EV cab pricing on the Pune–Mumbai route works differently from dynamic taxi apps — fixed operating costs mean a fixed fare you can trust before you book.
The Pune–Mumbai corridor is well suited to fixed-fare EV pricing for a specific reason: the route is predictable. One expressway, one toll, a consistent 145–165 km distance. There is no traffic wildcard that changes the cost. An EV's per-km charging cost is stable and lower than petrol, which makes it possible to set — and hold — a fare without a variable fuel surcharge.
Dynamic cab apps use algorithmic surge pricing that responds to real-time demand. On a busy Friday evening, a monsoon night, or early morning before a flight, the same Pune–Mumbai route on a surge-priced platform can cost significantly more than the quoted base. The final amount is only confirmed after the ride begins.
Orbitmiles EV cab
- ✓ Price fixed at booking — never changes
- ✓ Same ₹2,700 at 3 AM, monsoon, or peak hour
- ✓ Toll and fuel always included
- ✓ Quote is the final amount
- ✓ Three EVs with zero tailpipe emissions, plus the Innova Hycross hybrid
Surge-priced taxi apps
- ✕ Surge multipliers (1.5× – 3× at peak)
- ✕ Price spikes during monsoon and late nights
- ✕ Toll often charged separately
- ✕ Final fare only confirmed mid-trip
- ✕ Mostly petrol / CNG vehicles
A fuel-type difference shows up in the fare too. Every diesel, CNG or petrol car pays ₹320 at the expressway toll plazas, so that amount is either inside the quote or added at the end. Our three EVs pay ₹0. The side-by-side on toll, boot space and cabin noise is in electric vs petrol, diesel and CNG cabs.

Frequently asked questions — electric cab price
No. Pune to Mumbai is 145–165 km by road, and Orbitmiles' Citroën ë-C3, MG ZS EV and Kia Clavis EV each leave fully charged and cover it on one charge, ghat climb included. The only halt is a short 10–15 minute driver break. Electric cars are also exempt from the ₹320 Mumbai-Pune Expressway toll, so an EV trip pays ₹0 in toll.
Orbitmiles charges a fixed ₹2,700 for an electric cab from Pune to Mumbai in the Citroën EC3 (4-seat electric hatchback), with the driver, charging and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway toll included. The fare does not change with the time, traffic or demand, so there is no surge. The MG ZS EV is ₹3,200 and the Kia Clavis EV is ₹3,800, on the same terms.
The ₹2,700 price is fixed. Orbitmiles does not use surge or dynamic pricing. The fare you are quoted at booking is the exact amount you pay at the end of the ride — at 3 AM, during monsoon, or on weekends. If your journey runs past the 150 km included, the extra kilometres are charged extra, and we tell you at booking.
The cheapest electric cab fare is ₹2,700 for the Citroën EC3. For a larger group, the MG ZS EV is ₹3,200 (premium SUV), the Kia Clavis EV is ₹3,800 (6-seat MPV), and the Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid is ₹6,000 (6-seat luxury MPV).
The quoted fare covers 150 km, the driver, fuel, and the Expressway toll. Not included: kilometres beyond 150 km, waiting after the first 30 minutes and extra stops, which are charged extra. There is no night surcharge, no airport surcharge, and no fuel-price adjustment.
Mumbai Airport (CSMIA) is the same fixed ₹2,700 in the Citroën EC3. Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has its own lower rate card, from ₹2,500 in the EC3 with 120 km included. The driver tracks your flight for arrival pickups.
Compare the all-in figure. Ask whether the quote includes the ₹320 expressway toll (a diesel or CNG car pays it, an EV pays ₹0), the driver's charges, how many kilometres are covered, and whether the price can rise at peak hours. Then check the bags: most CNG cars carry the gas cylinder in the boot. Our EV fares include driver, charge and toll for 150 km, with luggage listed by bag count for each car.
You pay after the ride. Orbitmiles does not require any advance payment or deposit. Settle the fixed fare with your driver at the end of the trip by cash or UPI.
