Andheri East or Andheri West: where we drop

The Western Express Highway and the railway line split Andheri in two. Coming from Pune you reach the east side first. That is where the offices are, in MIDC, SEEPZ, Marol and Chakala, along with the hotels around Mumbai Airport. The west side is mostly homes and shops, from the station out to Lokhandwala and Versova. Orbitmiles drops at any address on either side for the same fixed fare.

Andheri East

  • MIDC Andheri EastOffice buildings and the industrial estate off the Andheri–Kurla Road side
  • SEEPZThe export zone at the JVLR end of Andheri East, a short way from Marol
  • Marol and Saki NakaOffices, hotels and homes along Andheri–Kurla Road
  • Chakala and JB NagarClose to the Western Express Highway and Terminal 2

Andheri West

  • LokhandwalaHousing complexes and the market around Lokhandwala Complex
  • Versova and Seven BungalowsThe coastal end of Andheri West
  • Four Bungalows and DN NagarHomes between the station and the coast
  • Andheri station, west sideSV Road and the station approach

For a weekday evening drop in Andheri West, allow extra time to cross over from the east side. Give us the building name and the nearest landmark when you book; in MIDC and SEEPZ the gate number helps too.

Andheri drop with a stop at Mumbai Airport Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is at Sahar in Andheri East, a few minutes from Chakala and Marol. A common booking is a family seeing one person off at the airport and then going on to a home or hotel in Andheri. We can do both in one trip. The airport drop counts as an extra stop and is charged extra, so mention it when you book. If the airport is your only drop, use the Pune to Mumbai Airport cab, where we plan the pickup time around your flight.

Pune to Andheri by road: route and toll

The cab joins the Mumbai–Pune Expressway near Kiwale and follows it past Lonavala and down the ghat to its Kalamboli end. From there it takes the Sion–Panvel highway through Vashi towards Chembur. For Andheri East the driver usually goes up the Eastern Express Highway and across on the JVLR, which comes out near SEEPZ and Marol, or takes the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road. Andheri West drops continue along the Western Express Highway. The driver chooses on the day, depending on traffic.

A car pays ₹320 in Expressway toll one way. Our three electric cars are exempt and cross for ₹0. The Innova Hycross is a hybrid, so it pays, and that toll is already inside its fare. One short break is included, usually at the Lonavala exit or the Khalapur Food Court; the rest stops guide lists what is open early.

Which car for your group

  • One or two people with a couple of bags: the Citroën EC3 at ₹2,700.
  • A work trip to an Andheri East office, or up to 4 people who want more room: the MG ZS EV at ₹3,200.
  • Up to 6 people on a budget, or 4 people with lots of luggage: the Kia Clavis EV at ₹3,800.
  • 6 people with check-in bags, such as a family with someone flying out of Terminal 2: the Innova Hycross at ₹6,000. It is a hybrid, not an electric car, and it seats 6.

Pickup is from your door anywhere in Pune, including Pune Railway Station and Pune Airport, at the same fixed fare. Going the other way? Book the Andheri to Pune cab. Heading further north to Thane instead? See the Pune to Thane cab. For the rest of the corridor, see the Pune to Mumbai cab page.

Pune to Andheri cab: questions people ask

What is the Pune to Andheri cab fare?

Orbitmiles drops you anywhere in Andheri East or Andheri West for a fixed ₹2,700 one way in the Citroën EC3. The full list is ₹2,700 (Citroën EC3), ₹3,200 (MG ZS EV), ₹3,800 (Kia Clavis EV), ₹6,000 (Toyota Innova Hycross). Each fare covers 150 km, the driver, fuel or charging, and the Expressway toll. Kilometres beyond 150 km are charged extra.

Is the fare the same for Andheri East and Andheri West?

Yes. Orbitmiles charges the same fixed fare for a drop in MIDC, SEEPZ, Marol or Chakala on the east side as for Lokhandwala or Versova on the west side. The west side usually takes longer to reach in the evening, because the car has to cross the Western Express Highway and the railway line, but the time in traffic does not change the fare.

How far is Andheri from Pune, and how long does the cab take?

Pune to Andheri is roughly 150 to 160 km by the Expressway, depending on where in Pune you start, and the drive takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. The Expressway part is predictable; the stretch from the Expressway end into Andheri is what varies. If your pickup-to-drop distance runs past 150 km, the extra kilometres are charged extra and we tell you when you book.

Which route does the driver take from Pune to Andheri?

The car comes down the Mumbai–Pune Expressway to its Kalamboli end and takes the Sion–Panvel highway through Vashi towards Chembur. For Andheri East the driver usually continues on the Eastern Express Highway and the JVLR, or takes the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road. Andheri West drops carry on along the Western Express Highway. The driver picks the road based on the traffic that day.

Can I drop someone at Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 on the way to Andheri?

Yes. Terminal 2 is at Sahar in Andheri East, so a stop there fits the route. A second drop counts as an extra stop and is charged extra, so mention it when you book and we will put it in your quote. If the airport is your only drop, book the Pune to Mumbai Airport cab instead, where we time the pickup to your flight.

Is the Expressway toll included in the Pune to Andheri taxi charges?

Yes. Our electric cars are exempt from the Mumbai–Pune Expressway toll, so they cross for ₹0. The Innova Hycross is a hybrid and pays the ₹320 toll, which we have already put inside its fare. You never pay toll on top.

What is included in the fare and what costs extra?

Included: 150 km, driver, fuel or charging, Expressway toll, one pickup and one drop, and the first 30 minutes of waiting from the scheduled pickup time. Extra: kilometres beyond 150 km, additional pickup or drop stops, parking where it applies, and waiting beyond the free 30 minutes.

I have a meeting in Andheri East. Can the car wait and bring me back the same day?

Yes, book a same-day round trip. It costs ₹5,000 to ₹9,000 depending on the car and includes 350 km for both legs together. Tell us your meeting address and when you expect to finish.

Is this a shared cab, and do I pay for the return?

No to both. Every Orbitmiles cab is private and the fare is per car, not per seat; four people splitting the ₹2,700 Citroën EC3 fare pay ₹675 each. On a one-way trip you pay the one-way fare and nothing for the car's drive back to Pune.

Which car should I book for 6 people, or for a lot of luggage?

Book the Kia Clavis EV or the Innova Hycross; both seat 6. With all 6 seats taken, the Hycross carries 2 check-in plus 2 cabin bags and the Clavis carries 4 cabin bags. With 4 people and the third row folded, either one takes 4 check-in plus 4 cabin bags.

Is it safe to take a Pune to Andheri cab at night?

Yes. Our drivers are background-checked, and the driver's name, phone number and car number reach you on WhatsApp before pickup. The fare at night is the same as in the day.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

You pay after the ride, with no advance. Cancellation is free up to 4 hours before pickup.
