How Do You Book Trimbakeshwar Darshan Online?
The trust sells Donation Darshan passes online on its own booking page. Its terms, as published there: the pass is for the date you book, the last entry is at 9:00 PM, it cannot be transferred, and a cancellation is accepted only within 30 minutes of payment. You download the pass afterwards from the site's transaction history.
On ₹200, a note on sources. The figure is repeated on dozens of third-party sites, which is why it is easy to doubt — but the trust's own booking page listed the same ₹200 per person when we checked, and news reports of passes being resold quote it too. It is a fair guide — but trust the booking page over any blog, this one included.
The trust also books Rudrabhishek and Laghurudra pujas and rooms at its own bhaktniwas on the same website.
When Is Donation Darshan Paused?
On the temple's busiest days the trust sometimes stops paid darshan altogether, so everyone uses the general queue. In 2026 it closed Donation Darshan and Urgent Donation Darshan on every Monday of Shravan — 17, 24 and 31 August and 7 September. It did the same over the 2024 year-end holidays, until 5 January 2025. Before a trip on a Monday, a festival day or a long weekend, check the notices on the trust's home page.
A Gentle Warning About "VIP Passes"
Many websites with Trimbakeshwar in their name sell "VIP darshan" or book pujas. We could not confirm that any of them are run by the trust. The resale problem is real: news agency UNI has reported a police complaint filed by the trust's chief executive after a man at the temple entrance sold three ₹200 passes to visiting devotees for ₹2,000.
What Is the Trimbakeshwar Dress Code?
For general darshan, visitors consistently report no strict dress code — trousers and shirts are fine, and saris, salwar kameez and kurta-pyjama are common. Modest, full-length clothing with shoulders covered is the respectful choice. We could not find a dress code published by the trust itself (checked 15 Sep 2026).
For the inner sanctum, the rules are stricter and follow the temple's traditions. Guides report that men entering for rituals wear a dhoti, with shirt and vest removed. Most devotees take darshan from outside the sanctum. The trust has revised its sanctum-entry rules before — notably in 2016 — so ask at the temple office for the current practice rather than relying on older articles.
Kaal Sarp, Narayan Nagbali and Tripindi: the Travel Logistics
Trimbakeshwar is where many families come for Kaal Sarp Shanti, Narayan Nagbali and Tripindi pujas. These are arranged with the temple's priests directly, not through an agent. We do not arrange pujas or recommend priests; what we can help with is getting you there on time.
Before you fix your travel dates, ask the priest two questions: what time you need to report, and how long the puja runs. Priests' own listings range from a few hours to more than one day, and an early-morning start is common. That usually means a night in Trimbak or in Nashik, about 30 km away. Leave room for the busy temple complex — pujas and darshan share it.
During the Kumbh
The Nashik–Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh, held every 12 years at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar, opens on 31 October 2026 and runs to 24 July 2028. The temple stays open, but queues will be longer, especially around the Amrit Snans in August and September 2027, when private vehicles are to be kept out of Trimbakeshwar town. The trust has said it plans online passes for the Kumbh period; watch its website for the announcement. Mondays, Shravan and Mahashivratri — 6 March 2027 — draw the largest gatherings; for a quieter darshan, choose another day.
Getting There from Pune
Trimbakeshwar is about 230–240 km from Pune via Sangamner and Nashik, roughly 5 to 6 hours, so most families make it part of a trip with a night in Nashik. Our two-day plan pairs it with Bhimashankar and Shirdi; the Panch Jyotirlinga route covers all five in Maharashtra.
